Tasting Notes
America's favorite Zinfandel,was made using the traditional French blanc de noirs method, in which red grapes are used to make a white wine by pressing the juice off the red grape skins after just a day or so, when the wine has achieved a rich ruby hue. A lovely light pink in color, it has elegant aromas of fresh berries and citrus blossom, with flavors of freshly picked strawberries and bright citrus. 20 percent Chardonnay,fermented in French Nevers oak barrels was blended in, fattening and rounding out the Zinfandel, making it creamier, underlining its notes of citrus and cinnamon spice, and adding a hint of pear, pineapple and lychee. Chill this wine before drinking and you have a winner!
