Our Story

In 2004, our family set out on a mission to open a bakery of our own. While searching for local bakeries for sale, we were introduced to a unique chocolate business called Tomfoolery Serious Chocolate. The business featured a range of hand-made chocolates and an innovative product line called Peel & Pour — full 750ml bottles of wine and champagne dipped in chocolate.

We were immediately intrigued by the pairing of wine and chocolate. Having lived abroad and travelled extensively throughout Europe, we had never encountered anything quite like it. With a deep appreciation for quality wines and a lifelong love of fine chocolate, the opportunity felt like the perfect fit.

Undaunted, we purchased the business — keeping the handcrafted chocolate range while building our own custom cake offering at the same time. We later renamed the company to better reflect who we are: a family-run business passionate about crafting exceptional chocolate and baked creations.

Looking back, it was an intense and exciting time. We completed six months of immersive chocolate training, mastering tempering, hand-crafted techniques, moldings, chilling processes, and the art of pairing wine with chocolate. We explored varietal after varietal — Cabernet, Syrah, Malbec, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Champagne and more. It was information overload at times, but it gave us tremendous respect for winemakers and a deep understanding of the importance of high-quality, high-cocoa chocolate.

Today, we remain proudly family-run — combining creativity, craftsmanship, and a love of chocolate and baking to create products that are unique, memorable, delicious and made with heart.
